online market research companies - checklist for starting a new business
|
| In
1976, a small group of WW-2/Korea veterans, observing the problems
Viet Nam veterans were experiencing in their attempts to rejoin a
changed society with severe unemployment, created the
Activizers. As
the Activizers, we created a guide to assist veterans conceive,
build and operate their own small businesses. These efforts have
spanned from medical and personal service, through small catalog
order enterprises to small 'brick and mortar' retail stores.
Functioning as one of the earliest online market research companies,
the Activizers has mentored numerous small business start-ups,
designing and conducting marketing studies and seminars on these
subjects.
As most of the members of the original Activizers Group have passed on, Dr. Z had to find a way to fund this effort. Wheatley Memorial Institute of Information Sciences, a North Carolina (501.c.3) not-for-profit corporation, agreed to provide funding for the Activizers effort so the Activizers Group is now a part of and supported by that Institute. Websters® defines entrepreneur as "one who organizes, manages and assumes the risk of a business or enterprise." The grass in our country isn't as green as it once was but there is still plenty of grazing room and opportunities for success for hard working, sincere, ambitious entrepreneurs. Might you be one of them?. To quote Dr Z... "We created the Activizerssm* to help you! We enjoy helping veterans who would be entrepreneurs create and build new small businesses and marketing systems, — helping them support themselves and their families. "Let us help YOU enjoy the sweet success of starting, owning and operating your own small business, too!" *Activizer \ak-ti-'ví-zir\ n. one who activates, energizes or causes to be productive.
